What we host
extractvid does not keep a media library. It resolves a link on request and streams the file from the platform to your device. There is no catalogue to browse and nothing permanently stored, so the meaningful action we can take is to block a URL, an identifier or a host.
How to report
Email extractvids@gmail.com with the subject “Copyright report”. A complete notice includes:
- the exact URL on this site, or the source link you submitted;
- identification of the copyrighted work you own or represent;
- your name, organisation and a reply address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorised to act;
- your physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may be returned for clarification. If you are unsure whether you hold the rights, speak to a lawyer first.
What happens next
We review reports and, where a notice is complete, block the identified URL pattern through our blocklist, usually within one business day. We reply to the reporting address. We cannot remove the original upload from the platform, and blocking a link here does not affect copies already saved on someone's device.
Counter-notice
If you believe a block was applied in error, email extractvids@gmail.com with the subject “Copyright counter-notice”, the blocked link, and the basis for your belief, including why the material is authorised. We may restore access unless the original reporter pursues the matter. A counter-notice may be shared with the original complainant, so do not include information you consider sensitive.
Repeat infringement
Links, identifiers and hosts that are the subject of repeated valid notices are blocked permanently. The service has no accounts, so there is no user profile to terminate; the blocklist is the enforcement mechanism.
Misrepresentation
Knowingly filing a false notice or counter-notice can create liability under applicable law, including for costs and damages. Only report material you genuinely believe is infringing.
Agent status
This page is our voluntary reporting channel. extractvid is not currently a designated agent registered with the United States Copyright Office, so this address does not by itself confer statutory safe-harbour status. We still action complete notices promptly, and this page will be updated if that changes.
Other concerns
Privacy, impersonation and trade mark issues are handled through the contact page. Do not send credentials or identity documents with a first message.
