No accounts

extractvid has no sign-up, login or user profile. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details, and we do not need your platform credentials. Never send a password, session cookie or access token.

What we process

• The link you submit, the media identifier, and the format or quality you choose.
• Media metadata returned by the source: title, creator, thumbnail, duration, rendition details and delivery URLs.
• Request metadata: IP address, browser and device category, request time, bytes transferred, duration, and success or error status.
• Correspondence if you email us, including a copyright notice and the contact details it contains.

How a download is processed

Your link is used to obtain media information from the platform, our server fetches or relays the selected stream, and the bytes are delivered to your browser. A short-lived in-memory cache keeps repeat requests fast. Files are not kept as a library, and resolved links expire.

Thumbnails shown in results may load directly from the platform's CDN, which means that CDN sees your browser request. The download itself is proxied through our server.

Cookies and storage

We set one functional cookie after you complete the HD ad: a signed, HTTP-only value recording that the unlock is active for 45 minutes. A session-storage flag remembers if you dismissed the mobile ad banner. Neither is used for profiling.

Advertising and analytics providers may set their own cookies or identifiers when their scripts load. Those providers act under their own policies and may combine this visit with activity on other sites. You can block them in your browser; the downloader still works.

Why we process it

To deliver the file you asked for, to keep transfers working, to detect abuse and rate-limit traffic, to fund the service through advertising, to answer messages and rights-holder reports, and to meet legal obligations.

Sharing

We share what is necessary with the hosting and delivery providers that run the site, the ad network, and email infrastructure. A copyright notice may be shared with the affected party or their representative. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the service. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Resolved links live in memory for minutes. Request logs and error records are kept only as long as needed for troubleshooting, abuse prevention and legal claims. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve it. Backups may outlive a deletion by their normal cycle.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent, or to opt out of targeted advertising. Email extractvids@gmail.comwith the subject “Privacy request” and enough context for us to find the relevant records. Do not attach identity documents to a first message. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children and security

The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly invite children to submit personal information. We use access controls and minimal retention, but no system is perfectly secure. Report a suspected issue to extractvids@gmail.com.
